Responsibilities and Duties
- answering the door for customers and greeting them
- answering the phone
- taking payments
- cleaning up the entire daycare (we take our cleanliness very serious)
- watching the dogs closely while multitasking
- being inside and outside picking up their business and monitoring their play in all weather conditions inside and outside our building
- doing laundry
- bringing dogs to their owners with correct leashes
Qualifications and Skills
- must have dog experience
- must be responsible and have a positive
- must be able to listen to dogs constantly barking
- must be able to learn the behavior
- must be able to come to work during all shifts
- able to be team player and splitting the work both inside and outside the room
- having eyes and ears always peeled on the dogs to prevent any bad behavior that could cause a fight
- fast learner
- takes constructive criticism
- ask questions when needed
- must love dogs
- must play well with others
- must be able to stand long periods of time during your shift
- must be able to pick up some weight
- takes directions well
Our Dog Handlers are responsible for the supervision, control and management of daycare dogs and ensuring the safety of the playgroup. They are also responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the playrooms as well as other areas of the facility as assigned. Dogs can be very dirty, loud and crazy. You will be in charge of monitoring dogs, cleaning the rooms/cubbies/lobbies/dishes/sweeping/vacuuming etc. We cannot have dogs unattended so showing up to shifts 100% of the time is something that is VERY IMPORTANT, and we take it very seriously.
